Detailed History

It was on the southwest corner of the interchange near 2nd Street NW. It opened around 1942 per the Post-Bulletin with a steeply pitched roof with gable dormers. It was 1.5 stories tall, U-shaped, and advertised as "The Most Modern Cabins in the Northwest." However, it is visible on a 1940 aerial photograph so it appears to have opened before then. It was demolished for the expansion of Hwy 52.
