Detailed History

It opened in 1944 at Highland Village Shopping Center and was owned by Frank & Cora Lee. They served Chicken, Steaks, etc. This was one of the oldest restaurants in St. Paul. Frank Lee first founded Lee's Log Lodge in 1925. Then it became Lee's Broiler in 1940, and then this resturant in 1944. It seems like it got remodeled significantly at some point since an old matchbook shows it as one story tall.
