No print advertising found for 1940 for a location in Cedar Heights which is on the northeast side of the DC boundary. The night club called Hillside apparently had several locations over the years, and by 1953 when Duke Ellington played the club in March it was located on Ritchie Highway near the DC boundary. The term "Rock & Roll" was coined in 1952 here at the night club to describe the music.
