Greenville's 1947 city directory lists Grimes Hannibal as its owner and occupant. In 1950, it was occupied by Mary J Grimes, a widow born circa 1874 who acquired the lot on Means Street in 1928. This home no longer exists, in fact, neither does the street. Means Street has been destroyed–Greenville Senior High School's baseball field, built around 2004, sits in its place.
