Detailed History
Lula Niles opened this hotel in 1946. Niles also owned Savory Restaurant AKA Savoy Club. Jackie Robinson was one guest who stayed here. In 1962, it was deemed unfit for habitation by the city's urban rehabilitation director. The hotel corrected its code violations and operated for a few more years.
