No. 8.  15. Co. "E" 15th Maine Vols. is hereby detailed as provost guards at Hd Qrs. 13th A.C. The commanding officer will report with his Company to Capt. Altman, Comdg Provost guards, for orders.
 
16. Private Cornelius Davis Co. "B" 114th Ohio Regt. Inft. Vols. is hereby detailed for Special service in the Qr. Mr. Dept., and will report without delay to Capt. Lapin A.Q.M. for duty.
 
17. Private James Fields Co. "K" 18th Ind. Infty. Vols. is hereby detailed for special Service in the Qr. Mr's. Dept. and will report without delay to Capt. Lapin A.Q.M. for duty.
 
18. I. Brig. Genl. Ransom commanding 4th Dn, will send a detail of one Corpl. and three men to report without delay to Lieut. George Sheeks A.A.Q.M. for guard duty.
 
II. He will also send a detail of one sergt. and six men, to report to Lieut Sheeks A.A.Q.M. at 8 o.c. tomorrow morning for fatigue duty.
 
III. He will also send a detail of one Corpl. and three men to Capt Lappin A.Q.M. for guard duty immediately.

Pass Cavallo Texas Jany. 14th 1864
9. 1. Brig. Genl. Ransom Comdg. 4th Dn will detail thirty (30) men under two (2) commissioned and proper non com. officers, to report with one day rations to Capt. M. C. Garber A.Q.M. at 1 oclock P.M. on board the Str. Warrior.
 
2. Two Companies of the 2nd Engineers Corps d. Afrique, will / immediately take Post on Matagorda Peninsula, and report to Brig. Genl. Ransom, for work on the defences, one Co. of the same Regt. will proceed to Indianola, and report to Brig. Genl. Benton for work, in preparing and shipping lumber to this place for wharfs and Store houses. They will be supplied from the Head Quarters of the Regt. with the necessary tools.
 
3. Maj. Wm G. Thompson Comdg, at aransas will send the two sloops in his possession to this place, provided he can find men who are able to navigate them. He will place a small guard on each, in case he thus sends them. If no men can be found able to navigate them, he will send them in tow by the first Str. leaving for this place.
 
4. Brig. Genl. Ransom Comdg. 4th Dn will detail one Corpl. and twelve (12) men to report to Surg. C. B. White U.S.A. at these Hd Qrs. for fatigue duty.
 
5. The Resignation of Capt. Hiram Evans 23d Iowa Infty Vols. is hereby accepted to take effect this day provided no final payments be made until he satisfies the Pay Department that he is not indebted to the Government.
 
6. A board of survey is hereby appointed to meet at Hd Qrs. 13th A.C. at 10 oclock A.M. on the 15th inst. to determine the condition of ordnance stores recently received by Lieut. E. A. Gove Act. Ord. Officer 13th A.C. and decide upon whom the responsibility of their injury and loss rests.

7. Private Philander P. Kelsey 96th Ohio Vols. is hereby relieved from duty with Ast. Surg. C. B. White U.S.A. per S.O. 168 Hd Qrs. 13th A.C. Nov. 22nd 1863, and will report forthwith as carpenter to Capt N. S. Constable Chief Q.M. of the Corps, for duty.
 
8. Corporal Charles P. Hazeltine Chicago Mercantile Battery is hereby relieved from duty with Capt. Wm R. McComas, "Topographical Engineer" Hd Qrs. 13th A.C. and will report forthwith to the comdg. officer of his Battery for duty.
 
9. Commanding Officers of Divisions, Seperate detachments, and independent Companies, will with the least possible delay, send into these Head Qrs, a complete list of officer and enlisted men of their command, now on extra, daily, or special duty, stayting by whos order they were detailed, where they are on duty, and the nature of the duty or service in which they are employed.
 
10. Brig. Genl. Ransom Comdg. 4th Division will detail two Commissioned officers, and forty (40) men with orders to report to Capt. M. C. Garber A.Q.M. on Str. Warrior, at 8 oclock tomorrow morning.
