Dear frinds it is with plasure that i attemp to write to you to let you now that i am well at this presant time and hope that thes fu lines may find you in joying the same blesing / of health it is a bout one weak sence i wrote to you so i thought i would rite to you to let you now that i am still at pery vill cantuck a nurcing the wounded and sick soudder it is very hard to see the boys sufring so much but it cant be help wile thar is war in the land i think it is time to stop this war on [?] any turmes i have bin on the batle grond to day it is a hard site to see thare is lots of grave the hogs has ruted up the dead body in [?] of place it look very bad to see such a site thare is from five to ten evry day last nite a man dide by the of josep furgeson from columbus he was chot throe the left lung he sufr a grate deal he is no cind i gues he is agood boy he is the first boy to die in this horspital thare is a bout three more i think will die i this horspital thare is to secach here one of tham is the seveet arcans he sais that Cirdes Pettijohn was in the same compney with him but has bin discharge boly for the secas pettijohn i saw Shedrc koos he in the hondred and first indiany rigement he is so stout and harty and look well he sais he lik the surves usee i rote to you that / mi rigement was gon to tenisee but it is a mis stake thay are at lebanon a bout twenty miles from her tha are provoc gard thare thay may stay thare some time it is hard to tel this is a nice contry i have rote three leter to you bout i can not git a leter irote to you last weak how to send me a leter i want you to send me one leter the way i rote to you and then not till i rite wher to send them for i think that i wil go to the rigemt soon and then you can send tham to louis vill to follow the rigement so tha will com up so rite to pery vill cantuckey Boil County i think perhap i will stay here some times this eaving aman died from Ohio i dont now wate to write thare is so much of [?] here thar is no [?] here thare is no danger here the people are [?] here this is a nice town this is the secont day i recive to leter i am glad to here from you all you said that you wanted me to rite and tell you how bad i was hurt it is intirley well if you can sta in camp i expect it will heal the best it may be the best to wate a wile in your leter you said that corn was worth forty five cts a bu corn is worth fifty cts here and molasses
