Dear mother i take the pleasure of riting you a fiew lines to let you no that i am well an all the boys i got my clothes you sent by John Auette i drawed a pair of shoes i drawed two months wages i will draw some more in a short time i will send you some money now an send you more when i draw we are got marching orders we will go to victsburg i will rite soon i have nothing of importance to rite now you must by Julia a pair of shoes an pos an oat i have i have no more to rite now
