Mr J. N. Dees
Dear Brother
with much pleasure I write you a few lines to night in answer to yours of which I received yesterday was glad to hear from you & to hear that you were well but was sorrow to hear of your troubles. we are all well as usual. Jim mother says she is as sorrow about Sarahs death as you are & seems to be troubled about it a great deal She says she would have treated Sarah as well as if she had been her own child had you & Sarah come back last fall mother says she wants you to come back for she is always uneasy about you. she says she knows if you get sick you will not be attended to like you would if Sarah had lived. Sam told me to tell you to come back next fall or quick as you made your crop & he would give you employment he says he may put up a store or if he dont put up a store he wants you to take his place at the mill! we have had a great deal of rain I have just commence plowing but will have to stop for a while on account of the buffalo fruits
Tomie Atkisson is living with old man Townsend Jim I think it would be a very good idea for you to come back now I dont know of any work to do now but I reckon you could get some work to do before long & if you dont come now you had better come after crops is laid by I will close for this time hoping to hear from you at an early period
I remain as ever your Brother
R. H. Dees
