Huttonville Oct 11th 1861
Dear Sister I take my pen in hand to answer your letters of the 21st 22ond and 27th which came to hand a few days ago since we have moved to Huttonville our brigade and I dont know where we are going next some says we are coming to kentucky but I cant tell untill we march I wrote to Mother a few days ago about the battle we was in at greenbrier bridge I thought several times that I was in tolerable close quarters but I am still kicking I cannot tell for certain but I think we will be in kentucky in four weeks weeks as soon as you find out the letter of the company pa is in write and let me know
I wrote a letter to you and uncle George and uncle John let me know if you got it
I went out this morning to get some apples and saw the prettiest girl I have seen since I left home
