Dear Miss your letter was recived a few nights ago I was glad to hear from you and to hear that you are all well. Your letter found me in good health and good spirits and still performing the duties of a soldier we are still at the same camp where i was when I rote to you before. But my Company is up on the potomac River about ten miles on picket daly. I still remain at head quarters we have had some very disagreeable weather here in the last three weeks back. You said something about / George a being home on a furlough I would like to have been there with him I would give most any thing to see george but i expect it will be some time before I get to see him George Fergeson is well and he sends his respects to your mother and say he is going to write to her before long. the 13th Ind regt is not very far from here now I expect I will get a furlough and go and see the boys that I am acquainted with I recived a letter from Brother Jo. He stated in his letter that there was not a great many fit for duty in that regt and a great many of the boys / sent home sick. We have but very little sickness in our regt This is a very healthy state The most of our sickness is bad colds we could not expect any thing better considering the exposure we are in I had a tollerable good time a Christmas day I was invited by the citizen of Sharpsburg to it turky dinner I went and had a good time Our time expires the nineteenth of Aprile and then I expect to bid soldering adue for a while I am comeing over to your house to see the folks if I get back safe
I will have to bring my riteing to a close by sending my best respects to your Mother and the Children / and you also. You must excuse haste and bad riteing
Rite soon as you get this yours truly W A Minor
