I have not heard from pa for a long time and I expect they are nearly to Nashville by this time and we will start I guess tomorrow I am going to write a letter to Dr Corbin the first chance I get I have had no time to write for about a week. I owe you and Mother and uncle George and milt several letters and I will pay them up as soon as I can write as often as you can and I will do the same / we have just pitched our tents in the edge of town and I must close and go and hunt something to sleep on to night as the ground is very damp the cecesh had very strong fortifyingicatiouns here give my love to Mother and Lina and Rachel and all the folks so no more at present but remain
