Frank Fowler
Frank Fowler was born around 1837 in Connecticut. He married a woman named Adelaide sometime before 1860, and they lived in New London, Connecticut. Fowler worked on the railroad there, and he owned $200 of personal property in 1860. Fowler enlisted in the Union army on August 1, 1862, and mustered in as a 2nd lieutenant in Company F of the 21st Connecticut Infantry on September 5, 1862. He was promoted to 1st lieutenant on June 7, 1864, and he was discharged for disability on October 31, 1864. Fowler returned to New London after leaving the army. He applied for a federal pension in February 1866 and secured one soon afterward. By 1870, he was working as a railroad conductor, and he owned $1,200 of personal property. He died in New London on February 13, 1875.
