My Dear Lib it has ben sometime sence I wrote you I thought writing to kate you would see how I was geting along Dear Lib I am doing very well my foot panes me some nights so I cant sleep I took a bone out of my foot yesterday and I think there is more to come yet serg Shaw of our Comp is hear in ward 7 he has got a direa I went in his room yesterday on crutches and it was all I could do you will see that rosaila wrote to me I sent two kates letters I think she wrote a very good letter bot I think she is cuting a big swell dear Lib I got a letter from Sam Belchers he sed that they had drafted 66 men in wellsville I wish I knew ho was drafted he sed he would send me a paper that had their names in there cant be meny men left I see a man the other day I thought it was Dewight looked jest like him I thought I would speak to him & then he started of he steped purty quick and I knew it want him

Loel C Hakes Good morning dear Lib I will try and finish this letter there is nothing new this morning I felt bad yesterday I cetch a very bad cold and it setteld all over me and my bones aked bot I had a good swet last night and / and I feel better this morning there is lots of nine month men hear and they are all the time talking abought going home and they had better be to home they they have ben a kos to us ever sence they came hear dear Lib yesterday when the wenches come to clean out this ward one of them had purty big tites the head nurce asked her if she ever had a baby and she sed she never had and he told her he believed she had she sed that was all he new abought it she sed if a woman had a baby that thear tites would hang down and if she had not had one they would not hang down I think that is big tale dont you they chew and smoke tebacko I cant bare a niger I have seen anough of them dear Lib I will close this letter and I hope I will get one before I write agane derect your letters hear so good by dear Lib give my love to all and except this from your tru and loving Hosband with lots of kisses to my dearest wife Lib Hakes
