Kind and ever loveing Friend
I recived your letter and was glad to here from you Dear Lib it sceimes so long scince I saw you oh how I wish you was here to night here I am all alone I have nobody to go and see and nobody to come and see me I dont go to church evennings for I have no compny to go with me. we have plesant weather here this winter so far Chrismas has past for this year I got a hym hymbook from Mrs Stewart for a presant Chrismas. I hope that you had a good time at Newark during the holodays I wish you a happy newyear I am afraid that I wont get home when I exspected to when I wrote to you befor I dond know now when I will get home. I have wrote for one of my sisters to come and make me a visit newyears. I am sory that I wont get there to see John Moris plese give him my respects I want to know if thay have decied / on a minerister there yet. thay are having a voting time here at the Congarational Church about geting a Minerister. what do you think of the war by this time Lib. thay say here that Ingland is go to war with the north do you here any thing of that there how do the Soldires get a long at Camp Sherman has there any mor of welsh enlised that you know of has the bride returned you call yet or not if she has not I dont think that will notis her when I come there. It is a dul plase here there dont sceme to be any thing going on from one week's end to the other and the days are as short here as ever I saw them there. I am well and I hope that you are the same. Give my love to your sister Jane and all inquring Friends and except the same for yourself write soon and tell me all the news you can no more at presant this from your Friend
