Dear brother and Sister
I seat my self to write you a fiew lins whitch will informe that they are well except me i am not very i went down to Jims in February and takend chills in march and i have not got well of them yet i got back home the 26 day of may i am getting some better i planted twenty acrs in cotton it was looking well i had bin plowing and howing in it but i had to sell it and come home on the acount of the chills i got a post working with them Jim and family was well when i left thir they are coming up in august you must try and com down then pap has got a fin looking crop he has got it work over the first time we are needing rain very bad now tell all the girls howdy for me i would like to be bak in haywood now i am comeing out thir this fall if nothing hapens more than i no at this time write to me who all has married sence i lef thir

as i did not start this letter i will write some more we are all well at preasant hopeing these lines will find you all well and doing well i spoke of paps crop he is a laying it by now he will be done in two weeks i said that i was coming out thir this i think i will come before long i want to come out thir and go to school the balance of the summer and fall i have about got well of the chills i can feald the affects of the chills yet tho i think that i will be able to come out to haywood before long
So i will close for this time write soon
