Soldiers, Darcy for the Nine month Term was drafted october the 16th AD 1862
Reported at Bedford on the 21st of same month got leaf to return home for four days Reported again at same plase on the 26th of same month
27th left Bedford for hopewell, arived at 7 oclock PM left took the cars for Hundington arived at Hundington about midnight lay in the cars till 3 oclock in the morning then got of and went to Millers Hotell and lay on the carpets and slept till daylight
28th took the cars for Harisburg arived at Harisburg at 4 oclock PM went to camp at 7 oclock got blankets same eavning lay with out shelter all knight
29th put up tents in Camp Simmons
30th Still in camp not organised

2nd Started in the morning past Fort lookout and sailed all day anchored at fortress Monrow in the eavning
3rd Started for Norfolk & landed about Noon took the cars for Suffold Va landed at 6 oclock PM marched about a mile to Camp, lay out all knight without tents Rain during day & night
4th pleasent in the morning pitched our tents in the afternoon

Started at seven AM marched till 4 PM when canonading commenced by our artilery and Reble Battery We formed in line of Battle along the road 5 oclock firing seased Rebble Battery silenced

Crossed a creek marched severel miles lay on gard at night at a house about one and a half miles from Swift Creek town
20th Foggy in the morning pleasent during the day Started back at 8 AM part of the way then turned east along a road to open a blockate 3 PM heavy thundershowers and hail we got completely soaked marched to cross roads stopped for the night lay in a field where we lay some time before on the road leading from old ford to Rebble foard.
21st Cool eavning Started back for Camp returned to Camp in the eavning of the same day

2 PM got on board of a boat Sailed over the pamlico Sound. Anchored for the night
