Got marching orders this morning. Packed up and left camp at 11 A.M. Marched to deep Bottom cross on the pontoon and marched within 1 mile of [?] encamped in pine woods snowed all night

Inspection of arms this morning. Left here at 4 P.M. marched to the landing and went on board
the Tonawanda & started for fortress Monroe Regt 76 on board 47 & 78 N.Y. 62 & 3 P.V
Thursday 5th
Arrived at Fortress Monroe at 1 P.M. Cast anchor Officers went on shore. Lay here all night. on Guard to night

everything at 9 reinforced Brigade and marched up towards the upper end of fort lay there a few hours and left and came down to knapsacks and rested for the night
