we got upp at 4am and got our breckfast it is very cold we packed up and marched at 12M we marched about three miles to Elk river and went into camp at 3 PM and then sent out a detail to forage for the regment
Monday 2
to day we lade in camp and sent out another detail to forage but got nothing of importance. the 9th and 80th crost elk river to day it is very pleasant
Tuesday 3
this morning it is a raning we tore down and marched at 11am and crost elk river then we had a foot race to Athens All of ten miles and then went into camp at Athens at 5 PM it was was very plesant we had Company inspection this morning before marching

this morning it is cold and I had chicken for breckfast and marched at 7 AM we marched 18 miles and went into camp on Indian Creek at 4 PM the wether is very plesent in the eavning

this morning it is very pleasant we marched at 6 AM and past threw Huntsville All at 10 AM and marched out about one mile east of town and formed a camp in a blackbery patch with orders to clean up for perminent camp

to day we went to cuting timber to build winter quarters with we had to cary our timber a good peace this morning it is very fogy and it comensed raning about ten AM and then we had to stop work it is very disagreabel to bee out
