Ginger Bread
1 lb flour ½ lb butter ½ lb of sugar
½ pt. molassess good measure, 4 eggs
2 T.B. ginger 1 teaspoon soda, 1 cup cream
Beat eggs separately—the yolks with the sugar—as for pound cake
cream the butter & flour together adding the eggs before the last of the flour to the batter. Make sure that the soda is well dessolved in the mollassess
Add that; then the ginger & lastly the cream. Bake in well greased pan or cups
