Thursday [February] 8 [1877.]
Went.
It began to rain at night about 8 oclock
 
                                                                       
 
Friday, February 9, 1877.
Was at home all day It is very rainy all the forenoon and it snowed in the afternoon and the wind blew hard
 
Saturday 10
Went to the village in the forenoon and went and carried Min home at night and her machine for good
 
Sunday 11
Stayed at home from meeting Went over to Mr Chandlers a little while with Katie Is very icey
 
                                                                       
 
Monday, February 12, 1877.
Went over and helped Granpa saw worked all day David and wife came he went hunting with the Hunters
 
Tuesday 13
I yoked up the steers and drove them around Went down to Alberts in the evening
 
Wednesday 14
Went to the village with Granpa We paid the taxes between 18 & 19 dollars
 
                                                                       
 
Thursday, February 15, 1877.
Went to the village carried out box of butter to old Ware also calf skin got dipper and one quart dish Got 126 lbs of middlings of Barnard. paid him one dollar towards it.
 
Friday 16
Katie and myself went to Davids is cold and windy Winnie came home
with us at night
 
Saturday 17
Is cold raw day wind N.E. Went to the village got 128 lbs of wheat middlings Sarah & Katie went to Alberts and stayed till I came home Winnie went home

Granpa came and we took the sled over to his house Newton Allen came there It rains hard

Is rainy wet day Went to school meeting at night
 
Wednesday 28
Went and emptied the water out of the tubs in the afternoon Went to the village at night and got my paper Newton Allen & Granpa came
 
                                                                       
 
Thursday, March 29, 1877.
Yoked up my steers in the afternoon and went to the wood place and got two loads of wood Oscar scattered the tubs in the forenoon and chopped wood and tap a few trees.
Oscar done his first days work
 
Friday 30
Yoked up the steers and went to the wood place and got two loads of wood George Bawker came in the afternoon Oscar went home in the morning
 
Saturday 31
Finished tapping trees to day and started a fire in the afternoon
