Dear Aunt Parna.
I thoug I would write you a few lines to let you know that we are all well and that we got your letter and was glad to hear from you I am going to school and have went about a month I wish if you have any good pieces to speak at school you would send me some we have to speak every Friday and we have spoken so much that we have spoken all that we have that is good to speak.
Arthur and Ira has the chicken pox and I expect we will all have them
we got the paper that you sent last night Burr is getting along pretty well he is getting about 16 dollars a month Carrie has pieced a quilt in the last week well it is getting late and I must close for to night so goodby-

Dear Sister got your letter glad to hear you are all well Lillys children all have the chickenpox they do not have any idea where they got it the boys had been here nearly two weeks when they came down they are getting along nicely well Parna I have been away from Plainfield so long I almost have forgoten the folks the Nettie Frazier Lou speaks of who is she / who is Bert that she speaks of
I have no more time to right now as it is time to set table for dinner
