The stamps that you sent me came all right you need not send any more to me unless that I send for them as I have a plenty now Tell them northern traitors there at home that we shall soon be done whipping the honorable rebels here at the South and then we can attend to their case for we had just as lieve fight traitors at the north as at the south although the Southern traitors are more honorable in every way. I got a letter from Aunt Sally yesterday She is grieving herself most to death on account of William death go up there and comfort her all you can she said she was coming after you soon 
 
I send you 5 watermellon seeds take good care of them until spring and then plant them the mellons is cream colour in side here is a ten ct bill that I send you to
