Dearest Laura
As I had a few spare moments I thought I would write to you I could not say anything to comfort you when I left you for I was to full for utterance I felt deeply for you and always will for you are my dearest friend dear Laura ever remember you have another source to go to when tried and tempted even your father in heaven but you know we must through tribulation go to our eternal home if we were not tried and tempted we would make very little progress in the divine life we would become cold and hardened I have no doubt you are tried beyond endurans almost sometimes yet do not get discouraged but still continue to put your trust in God and he never will forsake you if you are tried so very hard send up a silent prayer to God and he will hear you and you will be able to bear up through all your trials and you will be enabled to come of victorious at last I have no doubt there is a better day coming for you so I would say to you hope on hope ever let that be your motto I am not tried as much as you but I often think if I had more trials and difficulties to encounter I would be more faithful I would be a better Christian but you know it is better slow than not at all so I am determined to go on my trust is still in God and ever shall be let us dear Laura press on let come what will whether trials or persecutions sickness or death let us still continue to go on and I have no doubt if we are faithful we shall be numbered with the blessed when we are called to give an account of our doings here and I would say to you again do not be discouraged for Jesus is your friend go to him in the hour of trial and trouble and he will meet with you. I must close ever remember me as your sincere and sympathizing friend Sallie C Bucher
