I am safe in camp with Jane. Capt C met me at the cars; the meeting was cordial, both much pleased I thought so at least. I received your letter. I will say nothing about it as we have made all arrangements necessary. We will I think muster out our Company to morrow or next day, and I think I will be able to make final settlement here, which will relieve my mind considerable. I feel quite drowsy you may know the cause, but will make up for lost time to knight and in the morning. I met Wireman on the train at Sunbury and found Brockway in camp.
I am in a deep study which two of the three I shall ask. I do not think twill be worth while to go to the trouble to ask them to go along to Washington. their expense will be larger than they will wish to have. Although I will ask them to go with I cannot help thinking of Sallie but no matter she is interested. I have not fully overcome the task I had to perform this morn but you know where their is a will their is a way.
I cannot write a letter only a line I must work at the Muster Out rolls, hoping you will not think that I do not wish to write. please answer if only a few lines.
I remain your true and devoted
