My Dear Mother
I received your kind letter some time ago & will try to write you a little to night. Our trouble is over I am thankful to to say & as the ordeal was a trying one as you so well know, yet Estelle went through it bravely & like a woman & is recovering just as fast as nature will permit. The baby is a little girl about 7 lb—in weight. is perfect in feature & form. We are proud of her as she is sure to develop a lovely child. Just as soon / as mother & child are able to travel we are coming home for a good long visit Estelle is anxious to come and I should have been there ere this had it not been for this trouble & I can assure you that I think much of you and home. There are so many there that can write, and I am worried & disappointed that I do not oftener hear from home. I suppose the surroundings are beautiful just now. Is fathers health good this summer & what are the boys doing. Tell Lillian or Mar to write & tell me every thing.

Your loving son
Herm
