Having time to write I will answer your letter of the 10 that came to hand the 22 of the present month a picture of yours came also and very good resemblence of Mrs Ashley it was a gratification to me Let you must excuse me for not writing sooner I could not write very well we have been on the moove since the 18 of the month came on the cars most of the way arrived yesterday are in camp 5 miles from Nashville I donot know what will be done next but am in hope that we will soon be discharged I think the war is over there is an order to muster out 150 000 men at present / which includes the /62/ call the Vets will remain longer but how long cannot tell there also is orders to muster out all men that are sick that are not under the docters care
My health remains good the health throughout is good I saw Frank Cummins & Levi Dewit a fiew days ago they were well Frank is doing duty in the company again
Let I donot suppose there is any use of writing any nuse to you for you hear it as soon as we do but at present times is dul I think we will draw 6 months pay soon at least we ought to for we have not been paid for 8 months
Let I sent a package to by Tip S Marvin / there was a paper in it that I had not ought to sent it you can put it away when it cumes
Well Let I must close excuse this poor letter and receive my best wishes
