Dear Let
your letter of the 24 of Sept came to hand it was received with pleasure but caused a sad heart to know you feel the way you do I feel sorry that such is the case but hope your sorrow may be turned to joy

Let you must not wory about me you must look at the bright side of the picture and not think that I am here suffering and starving for such is not the case my health is better than it has been for a long time I think I will not be troubled any more with the feever I have recoverd my strength and as for eatables it is good I am in a small mess by the means we buy our provisions or the more of it such as appls potatoes onions flour and our beef we kill when we want it we have bakers to bake our bread so you see we are not starving yet

Well Let we have mooved since I last wrote to you are camped on the railroad also are working on the road the intentions are to have the road done by the 15th of next next month if so I think we will be immediately musterd out perhaps before

the 26 Ohio will leave soon for home and I should not be surprised if we would geet the order by the first of next month I have not heard from the 15 and 49 for some time back donot know as they have the orders to be musterd out yet or not but the troops are musterd out as fas as transportation can be furnished them some Regts have to waited nearly 2 weeks before they can geet off the weather is very nice here conciderable cooler than it has been

the health of the Regt is very good James is well

Let about making that application I donot think it will be of any use at preasent for it will take 2 months for it to geet around and I think we will have the order before that time that is the reason if I thought we would remain in servace long I would try what could be done but I think it is useless at preasent

I also noticed in your letter of the marriage of George Sheckles and Miss Albones I was surprised to hear of it and more so to hear of Marion Anmends marriage to Miss Wofurd all of Crawford Ohio wel I wish them all the pleasure imaginable which I have no doubt they will have

Let do you know any thing about Mart Wood I have not heard any thing of him since the atlanta campaign and then I / heard he was captured but cannot say as it is so and Esq Abbot is he home but suppose he is as the Regt is out he certainly is

Let I hardley know what to write as we have no nus of importance but I mus cation you about getting so low spirited you must not let your better feelings geet the advantage of I know at is hard to guard against I know is some measure your feelings I well know I would feel different if you were not with friend and at a good home I think I shal know how to appreciate a home after this but what is home without friends or a friend

Well Let I must close as I must fix my tent for it will soon rain love to all

I am your faithful Husband
Frank
