Convalescent Camp Va
My dear Sarah
on the 8th day of this month I received your kind letter it was dated on newyears day I was very glad to hear from you and very glad to hear that you ware engoying good health and a happy New year.
My dear Mussy I will now inform you that I am well at present and expect to be at home again in a short time on yesterday I received my discharge from the Army and entend leaving this Camp on my rode home on to morrough. I may be detained a few days in Washington Citty in getting seteling up with/the war department and then after that I will leave for home on the fourth day of this month the snow fell hear about 3 inches deap which was the first snow which we have had hear this winter for the last weak back we have had pretty cold wether untill to day which is quite a summr day it is nice and warm and thawing the snow of very fast. and I think that I will have warm wether to go home in. I have nothing strange to write to you at this time but I hope to sea you before long my dear Mussy.
I now conclude by sending my love to you and please except those 25 sweet kisses and when I get home I/will have some more for you
