I recd the barrel all right last night It came into Norfolk the 3rd but we have had a big snow storm here Commenced snowing tuesday morning about light. Snow fell about 8 inches wind blew going was so bad could not get it up from town It commenced raining thursday morn and rained a day and half without stopping This morning it is clear and cold. There is a report in camp and has been around some time that there is a prospect of going to Baltimore / to do provost duty. Col J. is Washington now. if we should go it would be some time before we started
If you buy the colts cant you turn that note in that father owed me. you may if you are a mind to. My money that I sent home you can use as you think best
I have got no news to write
Mail will go pretty quick
So shall have to stop
