Dear Sister
I got your letter and also the box to night, every thing all right. I like the shirts I wish you had sent a bag to put the apples in. The box was marked wrong side up so of course I opened it wrong side up Took out the shirts unpacked the whole, and then tried to put the things back in and could not after leaving the shirts out I drew me a pair of pants and jacket to day so you see, I have got a new suit throughout
Nothing new going on The fore part of the week was cold & rainy but during the latter part it has been pleasant and warm. We have very easy times now. Our sick list very small I am not at all afraid of the Capt. for I shall always do my duty and he can not hurt me any. I shall never give him a chance to catch me.
We have daily papers here. Seven of us joined to gether and get one every month day. It only costs me about 18 cents month To morrow we have another grand review, always have them / sundays. If I am not on guard I shall have to be on hand I got my ambrotype for you. They do not take good card pictures here and they charge so for them I cant think of any thing to write so will close like enough I can think of some thing in the morning. The boys got gambling here & Col Guion stopped it
good thing.
Good night
Your Brother
