Convalescent Camp Virginia
My dear wife I have just received and red your kind letter and haisten to answer it. it is dated on the 26th Sept the newspaper you cent I have not received it yet but perhaps I may by to morrows mail dear Mussy on yesterday the paymaster was hear and paid me two months pay which is 26 dollars and on this morning I made an application at headquarters for to get a furlowe to go home to sea you I will not know before Monday whether It will be get one granted or not but and if I succede in getting it I will then be at home about the 8 or 9 day of this month dear Mussy you nead not write any more to me untill after this time/
if I do not get the furlow I will write to you and let you know that I did not succede in getting it, and send you some of the mony I would send it to you now but if I get going home I will nead it to pay Expences in gowing.
            Dear Mussy I am in very good health at this time and do hope that this letter will find you also ingoying good health too The last letter which I wrote to you was dated on the 26th of September the same day which you wrote to me I have nothing new to write to you at this time but I do hope that I my have the good fortain to get home to sea you my dear Sarah I send my affectinate love to you please except 26 sweet kisses from me in return for the sweet kisses which you cent/to me I also received two postage stamps in your letter please give my best respects to all enquiring friends from your affectinate husband
