Dear Sister
I have just read your letter glad to hear from home again. Have not been to breakfast yet. It is going to be a warm day.
Have been quite busy during the past week getting business straight for mustering out.
The muster rolls came last night expect to commence on them to day. It will take 4 or 5 days to make them out I suppose
The talk is that they are going to hold officers whose times are not out before the 1st of Oct That will hold me. There are over a dozen in the Regt in the same fix. I think perhaps to day we will make an application to be mustered out with the Regt. If that will not work, we will apply for 30 days leave to go home when the Regt does / I may want to come back at the end of that time. I rather expect the Regt will be mustered out the last of this week and perhaps be en route for York State next week I hope I may be with them. I hope if I am sent that check he has it on the road now, for I should want it to reach me before we left here. No news here. I have been feeling first rate lately, except yesterday I had a little pull back. Feel better this morning. You must not be disappointed if I do not come home with Regt shall try to though. I guess you have received my letters before this I received the money all right
Give my love to Aunt Anna Willie and all. Perhaps letters you address to me now you had better put on one corner our residence so if I leave the service before they reach me they will be sent home again. I wish they would call us to breakfast. It is only six oclock yet.
Have had lots of green peas. Wish I could get home in time to eat cherries are they most ripe
Write soon
Yours Affectionately
