Convalescent Camp Virginia
my dear wife,
                        I received your kind letter on last Thursday. it was dated Oct 26 My dear Mussy I was very glad to receive this letter I had got very uneasy about you I was afraid that you was sick as the last letter which I had received from you was dated Oct 12 and in that letter you said that you was not well at that time so that I thought the time very long but was very glad when I received your letter and to hear that you ware well dear Mussy the last letter which I wrote to you was dated on the 24th Oct at the same time I sent one packet of Envelopes 25 in all these Envelopes had my address printed on them/so that it will make it more convenient for you and the directions will be more plain. dear Mussy you wish me to let you know what time I think that I can get a furloe to go home to sea you at the present time I can not tell you whether I can get one or not but I will do all that I can to get a furloe so as I can go home and sea you about the last weeke in November and if I succede in getting one I think that I will be home near that time I was in Washington Citty on yesterday I sean a great many soldiers thir the most of whome ware on their road to the frunt of the lines. we have had a very beautifull and pleasent fall here the wether has been as yet warme and pleasent here with the exceptions of a few rany days at times. but always clearing up/warme dear Mussy I was glad to hear that Miles Pierce & famly has had moved in to the house with you and if you can agree together thy will be company for you
please write to me once a weeke and let me know how you are and how you are getting along for I get uneasy when I do not hear from you weekly dear Mussy I am well at present and hope that these lines will find you also engoying good health I will enclos in this letter a little book to you
please give my respects to all my friends dear Mussy I now conclude by sending my love to you also I send 25 sweet kisses to you my dear Sarah
