The family lived in Troupsburg, New York, until the 1850s, when they moved to Ceres, Pennsylvania. She married Marshall J. Hadley on July 14, 1864, and they had at least three children: Estella, born around 1868; Arthur, born around 1871; and Alda, born around 1879.  They lived in Annin, Pennsylvania, and her husband worked as a gunsmith. By 1870, he owned $500 of real estate and $400 of personal property. Her husband died in May 1902. By 1910, she was living in her daughter Alda’s household in Malibu, California.
