My dear Sarah I imbrase this oppertunitey of informing you that my health is good at present hoping that you are ingoying Comfort and good health also I hope that Mary and all the rest of the famly are all well also hope that all the rest of the friends are well
Dear Mussy I send this to you by Squire Marlin of Brookville he has been here a few days on a visit to his Brother and leaves this place in the Morning for home I have sent a testament with him to give to you it is one that the preachr of our rege/ment gave to me I have no way here to take care of it therefore I send it to you and if I ever get home it will be their Cournal Mcknite was in our Camp on yesterday he cold to sea me he looks well and harty also Squire Means paid us a visit on last friday he appeared to be in pretty good health Jacob haugh has returned to this place from the york town hospitel he appeared to be pretty well when he came here he came here on the day that Gust was berried he has had a relaps and has been/sick for some days back Jacob dose not seam to stand soldering very well it is very sickly here at this time their in this regement their are at this time over the one half of our Regement is sick some partly sick and unfit for duty which throwes the garding and work which is to be done here on the well so that thy are kept pretty buisy
Dear Mussy I expect that Oliver and Mary has mooved down to the farm by this time as you wrote to me that thy entended to moove in 2 weeks if thy have left you will/of corse be very lonsome after thy leave to live alone dear Mussy I feal sorry for you on account that you will be alone and so lonesome and that I cannot be at home and along with you but I do hope dear Mussy that that time will arive that I will be permitted to return to my home and you where we can live I hope the ballance of our days in happiness together please write to me often I always feal sattisfied when I can hear from you and Mary my love to you all Dear Mussy I remain your affectinate husband good by at present
