Dear Sister
As I have nothing to do to day & feel rather cross I thought I should feel better perhaps by writing to you I have not got any news & dont [faded] know what to write but spose I have got to answer your letter any how so here goes. In the first place I think Freds a fool thats plain aint it I should think he had got enough of it I know that the duty that he will have to do will be light but if he has got the chronic diahrea a camp life will not help him hard tack & salt pork is poor medacine.

Phene I dont see why all the 9 month men should look so bad they have not seen very hard times but I suppose

as Lea Fisher says they were the sinew of the [faded] those that came first were the scum & could not get a living at home & were obliged to go.
