Dear Sarah enclosed is a likenes I had taken to day it is entended for my daughter Mary you will please give it to hir
Dear Mussy we ware paid 6/ monts pay on the 16th of this month I wrote to you on the same day and enclosed to you ten dollars in it on yesterday morning I sent sixty dollars to you with our preacher all us Jefferson boys sent mony with him he is to express it all from Harrisburgh directed to squire/Marlin of Brookville call on him and you will get your mony please write to me as scoon as you receive my letter which has the ten dollars in it also write to me when you receive the 60 dollars I did not pay ane postage on it you will have your share of the postage to pay to Marlin when you receive your mony
Dear Mussy we have not left this place yet but but waiting orders daily to leave this place the rebel army is receiving reinforcements every day now at/Fredricksburgh their army was increased yester thy ware a reinforcement marched to Fredricksburgh on yesterday of sixty thousand strong that army is thought now to be larger then ours and increasing every day every prepperation is making on both sides for a battel dear Musy in your next letter I want you to send me fifty cents worth of stamps we can not get them to by here you nead not send me any paper as I can by that here I am well at present hoping that these lines will find/you
also engoying good health please give my love to Oliver Mary and childrin and all the rest of the friends and now my dear Mussy I send my love to you hoping that we may both live to sea each other again I send you 20 sweet kisses good by Mussy for the present
