had a bulley time coming back rained like the devil all the time & dident stop till I was safe in Washington
phene I hope Cretia did not do any serious damage to you when she hugged you so hard why dident you push her out of bed I think between you both you must of had a hard time of it
I have not seen Fred yet but shall try to get a pass to morrow to go & see him he is encamped about a half mile from here I stopped in Baltimore over night on purpose to see him & enquired of everybody I met that belonged to the Invalid Corps if they knew of such a regt they all said nay & I did not know where he was till I got your letter I dont believe they are agoing to California or to P. Royal if they do go they will have a bulley time of it hope Fred will get his discharge on your account for I know you will feel bad but then Mr Boyd will console with you
