Dear Love as I have been writing home I will write you a fiew lines and put in that letter I have wrote for you but have not sent it I am well and enjoy my self well I received 2 letters from you one 13 and the other 17 was glad to hear from you and so I will not answer them now you wrote about that black fellow or girl to fill your place if that is the case I do not know what I will do for I do not like them a bit I should rather you would fill your place any when I am about for the smell of a wench is a nough for me you nead / not try that game for it will not work a bit it is sunday to day but it is all the same here you must not take any offence to what I have wrote for I did not mean any thing you know that for that is the way I always talk theres plenty of yallas gals here almost as white as common people but not as white my little darling bride I have not seen any as hansom as you you must not let this hurt your feelings but I must close & no more this time
