Dear Let
Having time this morning I will answer your letter that came to hand yesterday it found me well but not in as good spirits as other times for things look rather doubtfull about the old cripled Vets going home soon I think they will be held till the States raise a sufficient home gueard to protect them then you may look for us home but we have good times so you we cannot help but like it but still I would rather / be in your society which is far more acceptable to me

Let I have no nuse of importance to write as we are laying in camp and not much going on although we receive nuse of the arrests of that band of conspirators and trials and so on which of corse you receive

I suppose we will soon be paid off for eight months which will be very acceptable to us all if I can get a permit I will bring mine home

Let I must close hoping to hear from you soon Love to all

I am your ever Loving
Frank
