I am well satisfied with the change it is a healthy country here we came over Strawbery Plains but I fail to see the plains on all sides / there is high ridges but I never was so much surprised in any country as this it is a rough broken country but is mostly settled by Union people which makes it more like home but I am hopefull that I can be home with you before long if I thought I would not I would try another way which has been done that I am acquainted with on the account of sickness at home I believe I could get a discharg on your account for I believe your sickness was caused by my absence which I think would be different if I had been with you I have been thinking about it Let if you were well I could stay my time out very well Let I would like to hear your oppinion / on that if you think proper you can state but I will say no more on that subject at present till I hear from you
