your letter of March 6 came to hand last knight it was read with pleasure it found me well but we are on the eave of a moove will leave in a day or 2 for knoxville a part of our corps has gone already for that place it is to intercept Lee if he should make through that way we would be with little phil Sheraden then
the weather is nice would have a very good time for a moove but must look for more bad weather yet
Well let I some encouraged thinking the war is nearly closed I think this campaign / will end it
Let I am glad to hear of you being better hope you will entirely recover Let I would willingly pay out the last cent to have you recover I want you to do all you can cost what it may and as soon as I am paid I will send you money
I received a letter from Elem and Mother last evening it brought the nuse of Mrs McGinnus death and more sick Let about that box of things you had better not send at present for would hardly reach me
if you see Mother tell her I am well for I donot know when I can write to her but will as soon as can Let I hope to hear from you soon
