As I hav a time to write to knight I will answer your letter of the 30 of Nov that came to hand to knight was happy to hear from you and rest it also found me well as ever my health is better than it has been for years before I left home
Well we are at the old place yet and hope to remain here still it gets warmer we have some very cold weather I have heard no nuse of late therefore can write none it has been quiet since we came here but hood is in our front /
About that colt you may do as you think best I donot to over stock your Father farm it may be imposing on him but do as you se propper about it and it will be alright I cannot tell when I can return home to remain it may near 2 years but hope not my impression is that this rebellion will be over but it is hard to tell how it will turn out but I think I can stand at least
Since I last wrot to you I have been detailed as forage master for the Brigade but have not betterd my position much one thing I have a horse to ride
Well as I wrote before the nonveterans have been musterd out will start home soon good for them if I had been smart I would have been one of them but if I live my time will come / some time the health of the boys are good
