Dear Love as I can do nothing at present I will write you a fiew lines so that you will know where I am I am still at the above named place but am not well allthough I feel some better I have been having the flux but not bad but I am little down my health was good before this I have not heard from the boys for sometime but they are in the vecinity of Danville Ky and was in good spirits when I last heard from them our train of wagons came day before yesterday / and will start back in the morning with 50 wagons one train started yesterday of 40 wagons there 40 more that will start soon of our Devis I cannot tell how many of other Devisions there near 2000 wagons here I do not know as I can tell you any nuse of the battals that have been fought you can get the nuse as soon as we can and as correct but I can tell you some of the scenes of war or battal field the boys told me that the road was strued with dead Rebels for 8 miles that had lain for 5 or 6 days and the intention was to leave them there on acount of having the facility of buriing them they lain solong that it / is imposable for anybody to be about them our army were in pursuit of them at that time but I do not know as this will interest you but my thoughts are scatterd so that I can not write much of anything that will be interesting to you I have not heard from you for a good while my letters have all gone to the Regt with the rest of the letters but that make no difference I will get them some time I will have a chance to send this to shelby by Robt McCready he came here to see his brother and leave soon but I hope this will find you well and happy as a bird I have not / heard from James Sheckler since I last wrote but love I must close this letter with the hopes of sometime seing you and to enjoy the smiles of one that I love

Dear Love I some better to day hope soon to be able to perform my duty again I sent for my letters to the Regt will be back in a week or so and then I will hear from the one that I love dearly I would not be surprised if should see that country soon but do not place any hope of that write soon from your Lover & Sweet Hart
