Dear Love it is with pleasure that I have the privalidge of writing to you all though I have not receivd a letter from you for a long time at least it seams so to me and I believe it is and have all most began to think that you are sick and cannot write or something has befallen you but I have not given up all hopes yet I am well and in fine spirits why should I not be every thing passes off smooth and it very pleasent weather and warm as summer in ohio or fall at least we are still in the same camp that we were when I last wrote to you and will remain here till the river raises so that provision can be / got to us there has been no excitement here for some time past but the apprehensions has been that the rebs would pitch in at us but not yet B H Ross came here yesterday he looks well better than I expected he would I think it would help me to that is if I could see my little girl or well I guess you know what I mean as well as I can tell you I heard some good nuse the other day and that is David Swop is married good for him I would not care if it was me but so it is but maby my turn and somebody elses will come some time yet but I will have to close this short letter for it is most dark write soon give my respects to all yours sincerly from your Loves and sincere friend I remain yours as ever
