Dear Love it is with much fealing that I write you these fiew lines in answer to yours of the 9 which came to hand yesterday was read but not with joy for I am sorry that circumstances are as they are but I am sorry that I wrote any thing about it to you but love donot give your self any trouble about it for my love for you is the same and shal be while I have my senses Love you nead not feel uneasy about me for it would be a thing impossable to make me believe any such thing about I feel sorry for you and if I have said any thing in my former letters that hurt your feelings forgive for it was not my intention to do so I have regreted that I wrote that in / letter to you but did not think of hurting your feelings when I done so but I never heard any particulars about it and the one that wrote it to me meant no harm by it at least it did not change my mind in the least and the same one wrote to me afterward wrote to me stating that it was wrote with out thinking of the consequences till to late the rest I will explane to you when we met again Love would to God that I was there to shear your joys and sorrows Love it makes me feel bad to know the state of your mind Love I hope that you will let this thing pass as though it was chalf I know it is hard to under go and hope to god excuse bad language that I may soon be with you to shear with all the joys an sorrows of this life but rest asured that you have one friend while I am living Love as you wrote about absenting yourself from all young company I donot want / you to do that on my acount unless you see proper to do so you know how circumstances are better than I do and the situation of things you must use your own judgement about it I expect you feel lonly cannot be otherwise for that is the case with myself but the situation that I am placed in is different from what you are placed in every thing is lively and full of fun it is most a thing impossable to be lonly but past recolections come to mind often of near and dear ones left at home for which we have lade down our lives to protect their homes and firesides hope soon that we may be permited to return to our homes to greet Mothers Sisters Brothers and Loved ones such as you and embrace them once more in joy that will never end but many a poor boy will not see his Love in this world such is the lot of a soldier and all have a share but I donot know as I can say any more about things but hope you will not notice such / reports and remember that you have one friend that is true to you while I live my health is good and hope this may you well but fear that you will worry till you make your self sick and with this will close write often as you can and I will answer if I donot write much from your best friend Lover and well wisher yours

with Love
