Dear Love it is with with pleasure that I write you these fiew lines as I have been writing home I feel it a privalidge to write you also my health is good and hope that this may when it comes to hand find you well and enjoying comforts of life and the amusements also you cannot tell the good it does me to know that you enjoy your self but Love I can imagine your feelings at times very well but do not let those things trouble you it is of no use for they cannot hurt you although it wounds the feelings very much but it will be / all right some time if not till the judment day Love we all have things to under go that goes rather hard some times you must not think that you are cast off because a fiew of those country gossips tries to hurt your feelings hell is full of better ons than them Love I wish that I was there with you a short time I could comfort you a little I think probably so that you would be satisfied and you must not give yourself any trouble about me for I am yours heart and hand and shal remain so I have not seen the girl that fills my eye since I saw you last about 18 months ago and hope that time may soon come again and those happy hours that we have spent together so pleasently in times past but enough of such writing the health of the army is good in general I have not hard of Wash / although he is not far from here I have not wrote to him cannot find the time to write as much as I would like to it has been some time since I have received a letter from you have began to think that you are sick but hope not so I supose that you have as nice weather up north as we have here but not so warm it is getting rather warm here for comfort in the day time but the nights are cool enough so that we nead 2 woollen blankets for cover I would like to see such weather up there for I think it is healthy and another thing it is comfortable to lay close which is natural but strang to some and here I will drop the subject you must all nonsence as you know a soldier a privalidge character that in some things excuse all and believe me your Lover and friend and with my complyments to your folks will close
