Dear respected Wife
as we are to leave here to morrow morning I thought I would write you a fiew lines as we are to foot it through it would will be some time before I can write again as our bagage goes on the cars it will take us 2 weeks to make the trip I am well and hope this may find you in good health and in good spirits but I cannot say that I enjoy my self as well as I did while I was with you and I do not know who can but Love (excuse the remark) I left home / with a much different feeling than I did the first time it seams that there is something that draws my attention but Love you may know that you are not forgotten although I am far away I never can cease to love you and dearly to and I know I am loved in return by you I hope that we may be permitted to share each others love ere long but I must hasten as my time is limited and when I have more time I will do better we are going to Chattanooga so you may direct as before as we are going the same (2) division and (3) Brigade (4) Army Corps and they will come all right the weather is nice but looks like rain there was snow at Chattanooga eleven inches deep about the 20 of this monnth but it cannot last long / and with these fiew lines I will close hoping this may find you well love to all and my best wishes your self with the rest I am
