Robert Grey Walmsley
Robert Grey Walmsley was born in the 1820s. By the early 1860s, he was living in New York. In May 1861, he received a commission as a quartermaster in the 1st New York Infantry. The regiment took part in the Seven Days Battles, the Second Battle of Manassas, the Battle of Fredericksburg, and the Battle of Chancellorsville. He mustered out on May 25, 1863.
 
He probably returned to New York after leaving the army. He joined the Grand Army of the Republic. He applied for a federal pension in November 1890 and eventually received one. He died in Mount Vernon, New York, on May 1, 1907.
